Checking out MyBlogLog

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

I’ve noticed allot of blogs I’ve been hitting recently using MyBlogLog. It’s a neat idea. It extends a community like service for blogs and websites. When MyBlogLog users visit a site they can see what other MyBlogLog users have been visiting the site. This can then be an avenue to finding other sites that people with similar interests participate in.

It looks kind of fun so I’ve added it to my blog here. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll also look into seeing if it will extend to my tumblr page.

Added tumblr to bidiworld.net

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Now that I’ve had a chance to really examine Tumblr I’ve decided I really like it. I added a new address to bidiworld to get to it. You can now find my Tumblr at http://tumblr.bidiworld.net/. There will be additional content there that you may find interesting that won’t make my blog.

If you decide to use it, do me a favor and leave me a comment here on the blog to let me know what you think.

New site design

Friday, December 8th, 2006

I’ve been working on a new design and look for the blog. I think we’re finally finished with it. Much of the graphics were provided by my good friend Arlen. If your interested in the space industry and related news you might want to check out his site at http://www.fordianvillage.com/. I may still tweak it here and there but overall I’m quite happy with the results.

I’ll be skinning the new downloads site (Bidi’s World Downloads) and the new photo gallery site (Bidi’s World Photo Gallery) next.

Let me know what you think of the new theme.

New blog features courtesy of Feedburner

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

In case you hadn’t noticed I have recently added two new features to the blog. Feed subscription to the blog is now handled through Feedburner. To be honest I hadn’t ever expected people would actually subscribe to my blog feed so I never considered using anything other than the default feed system built into Serendipity. I use Feedburner for my podcast and have been very happy with the results so I have decided to use it here too.

I have also decided that I will also use Feedburner’s email subscription service so you can now have new entries delivered directly to your email nicely formatted. You will find a form on the main page where you can enter your email address and Feedburner will email you new posts when they occur.

Hope you enjoy the new features.
